Map every device
List the phone, watch, headphones, camera, tablet, or computer that will actually travel. Note each connector and remove duplicates. One multi-port charger may replace several bricks when its output is suitable for every device.
Check power standards
Verify plug shape and voltage requirements from reliable sources for the destination. A plug adapter changes the physical connection; it does not necessarily convert voltage. Read the input range printed on each device or charger.
Pack the resilient minimum
- One appropriate charging brick
- One cable per required connector, plus one essential spare
- A compliant power bank when useful
- Headphones
- A small adapter only when the destination requires it
Prepare offline
- Download maps, tickets, reservations, and essential contact details
- Back up important photos and documents securely
- Enable device-finding features
- Use a strong screen lock
- Keep account-recovery information somewhere safe that is not only on the travelling phone
